Maine's Painting Experts, Built on Trust
For over 15 years, AWA Painting and Company has been transforming homes and businesses across Maine — one brushstroke at a time.
How We Got Here
AWA Painting and Company was founded on a simple belief: every home deserves a paint job done right. What started as a one-crew operation serving the Greater Portland area has grown into one of Maine's most trusted painting contractors — built entirely on word-of-mouth referrals and repeat customers.
Over 15 years, we've painted everything from historic Cape Elizabeth colonials to modern Falmouth new-builds, commercial storefronts in Portland's Old Port, and everything in between. Our crews bring the same level of care to a single accent wall as they do to a full exterior repaint.
We stay small on purpose. Every project is personally overseen by our lead painters — not handed off to subcontractors. That means consistent quality, clear communication, and a finished result you'll be proud of for years.
What Sets Us Apart
No subcontractors — ever
Your project is handled start to finish by our own trained crew. You'll see the same faces on day one and the last day.
AI-powered estimates
We built our own estimate tool using Maine market data so you get an accurate price range before we even step foot on your property.
Thorough prep work
We spend more time on prep than most contractors spend on the whole job. Proper surface prep is what separates a 2-year paint job from a 10-year one.
Maine weather expertise
We know how Maine winters, humidity, and salt air affect paint. We choose products and timing that hold up to New England conditions.
Clean, respectful job sites
We protect your landscaping, furniture, and floors. Every day ends with a clean site — no paint cans left on your lawn, no overspray on your windows.
Satisfaction guarantee
If something isn't right, we come back and make it right. No arguments, no excuses. Your satisfaction is the only measure that matters.
Our Values
- Honesty in every estimate and conversation
- Craftsmanship that outlasts the trend
- Respect for your home and your time
- Community — we live and work in Maine too
"We treat every home like it's our own."
That's not a tagline — it's how we've operated since day one. When you invite us into your home, we take that seriously.
